Sales and Customer
Relationship Executive

LOCATION: UWE Campus, Bristol (with occasional travel to Bodmin, Cornwall head office)

WORKING HOURS: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

SALARY: £24,000 to £27,000

We are looking for a highly personable, super-organised and energetic Sales and Customer Relationship Exec to generate and follow-up on sales leads, support our key distributor partners and regional field sales managers, carry out market research, and to collaborate with marketing in the development of reference case studies and product marketing materials.

 

About the Company

 

You will be joining a small, ambitious and fast-growing sports technology equipment company whose aim is to change the face of fitness. Highly innovative, our flagship product is the 'CardioWall’ reaction trainer, which sells into schools, healthcare, sports clubs and gyms, and we also have a wide range of interactive game features that sell into the global indoor adventure/trampoline park market.

 

Role Summary

  • Manage warm sales leads/prospects, including qualifying leads by phone, developing then nurturing relationships with potential customers

  • (Cold) lead generation including the ability to research and locate potential new customers as well as some cold calling from time to time

  • Lead generation including the ability to research and locate potential new customers as well as some cold calling from time to time

  • Get hands-on with customers, developing case studies for marketing and product evaluation through customer site visits (trampoline parks, schools, care homes)

  • Provide first-point-of-contact account support for Key Distribution Partners in the US and across Europe

  • Support 2-3 regional sales managers with market research, preparation of sales materials, key partner liaison etc

  • Sales order admin: direct phone and email communications with customers and prospects; Liaising between the customer, your colleagues in Bristol, and the head office and factory in Cornwall

  • CRM admin - keeping the database up to date

  • Help to represent Rugged at trade shows in UK & Europe

  • Doing whatever is needed 'for the cause’ to support the company's continued growth

  • This is a potential stepping stone into a field sales role in the future, and would suit a recent graduate who has already had at least one role in a sales-oriented position

About You

 

You'll be:

  • Fantastic at talking to people on the phone, understanding their needs and identifying sales opportunities

  • A friendly, out-going, and positive team player

  • Well organised and good at following a process, keeping records and generally being 'on the ball’ and good with detail

  • An effective analyst who enjoys market customer research

  • Good with IT tools including Excel

  • Confident with English writing skills so you can follow up with prospects and customers via email

  • Able to work unsupervised (after your initial training of course!) and a completer finisher

  • Fun to have in the team - we believe a sense of humour is essential for good team working

  • Excellent at solving problems for your prospects and customers

  • A keen and quick learner

  • Flexible and open to change (our rapid growth means things change quickly - in a good way)

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and managing a number of projects at one time

 

Ideally you’ll:

  • Preferably have some sales or sales administration experience

  • Have a strong interest in health, sport and fitness (tiddlywinks doesn’t count!)

  • Be a recent graduate with a degree at 2:1 or above
