Rugged Interactive Partners with Young Pioneers to Make It #COOLTOPLAY

Rugged Interactive have announced they are partnering with Luke Lancaster’s dynamic youth-focused charity Young Pioneers to promote play and learning.

During 2014 Young Pioneers ran a number of events at Big Bang STEM fairs across the UK using the CardioWall and Rugged Interactive technology. It was clear that young people really benefitted from the experience and both organisations realised the benefits that could be achieved through partnering.

Young Pioneers’ goals are to enable young people to overcome adversity, to be successful and to lead change and was set up by Luke after he was bullied at school.

The Charity will be launching YP Play at LIW in response to its research with over 7,500 young people. YP Play has been designed to promote the benefits of physical activity, learning and peer group teaching and aims to make it #COOLTOPLAY.

Rugged Interactive use technology to motivate people to be more active. Their CardioWalls and new FitMakr coding software allows children to have fun and get fit whilst providing a platform where they can mentor and teach each other games, routines and with FitMakr even learn how to write the computer code that runs CardioWalls.

Rugged Interactive founder Simon Heap said ‘We’ve watched as Luke has grown Young Pioneers up to become the dynamic organisation it is now and we’re delighted to support the YP Play initiative with our unique technology.

’Managing Director Harry Stevens agrees, ‘We’re all about motivating everyone and CardioWalls with our new FitMakr coding software fit really well with what Luke wants to achieve. Getting physically active and stimulating your brain at the same time is at the centre of both our ambitions.

If we are to improve the wellbeing of young people we have to encourage them to get active through play and there is no better way than working out on a CardioWall.”

Rugged Interactive will now donate a percentage of sales revenue to the Young Pioneers and join the other YP affiliates such as Exergame Europe and SportsArt and the ever growing list of Cool Brands who know it is #cooltocare.
